HPD: Man threatened to kill woman, kids

Hopkinsville police arrested a Hopkinsville man Thursday night after he allegedly threatened to kill his girlfriend and her children.

According to the police report, officers responded to a Gilkey Drive residence for reports of a disturbance, but were unable to make contact with anyone at the home. Later in the evening, the victim arrived at the police department.  She informed officers that she and 25-year old Zachary White got into an altercation while she was operating a vehicle on Cadiz Road.

White allegedly grabbed the steering wheel while she was driving and said that he was going to kill her and her kids if she told the police. The vehicle reportedly swerved off the road and into some grass before the victim was able to regain control.  Once back on the road, White allegedly did it again while she was attempting to merge onto the Pennyrile Parkway.

The victim stated she thought he was going to kill her and her children. White was arrested and charged with first degree wanton endangerment.                                                                                                                **
