Woman hurt in Lewisburg wreck

A Lewisburg woman was hurt in a single-vehicle accident in Logan County Monday after her vehicle reportedly hydroplaned.

According to a news release from the Logan County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to the wreck inside the city limits of Lewisburg. Preliminary investigation determined 41-year old Janice Nourse of Lewisburg was travelling north on Main Street when her vehicle hydroplaned, causing her to lose control.

The vehicle left the roadway and struck an embankment before coming to a stop. Nourse was transported to Logan Memorial Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The sheriff’s department was assisted at the scene by the Lewisburg Fire Department and Logan County EMS.                                                                                                **
