Alayna King had a big match for visiting Hopkinsville, but Union County was able to fend off the Lady Tigers 3-0 Tuesday night in a high school volleyball match.
King finished with four assists and three digs on the night as the Lady Tigers fell 25-9, 25-18, 25-14.
Madysen Taggart had three kills, one block, three digs and an ace. Kyleigh Weber had two kills, an assist and three digs and Saralynn Major added two blocks for Hoptown, which dropped to 2-17 on the season.
Hopkinsville will play Thursday night at Kirkwood in Clarksville, Tenn.
