Dates and times for next month’s District 8 soccer tournaments were announced during the tournament meeting Tuesday morning at University Heights Academy.
The girls’ tournament will begin with the semifinal round on Monday, Oct. 7. Top seed and host UHA will play fourth seed Christian County at 5:30 p.m. Second seed Hopkinsville will play third seed Fort Campbell at 7 p.m.
The girls’ championship match will be at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
The boys’ tournament will begin on Saturday, Oct. 5 although the seeding has not been finalized. Hopkinsville plays UHA tonight and Heritage Christian Academy on Tuesday night. Once those games are played, the seeding will be finalized.
The tournament begins with the fifth-seed playing the fourth seed in a play-in game at 11 a.m. The winner will advance to the semifinals to play the top seed at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8. The second seed will play the third seed at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8.
The boys’ championship game will be played at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10.
Tickets will be cash only and will cost $8. Children 5-and-under will be admitted free.
