Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation has a busy July in store

The Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation Department is staying busy this summer, with numerous events in store for July alone.

Rachel Sanders with Parks and Rec says the Hoptown Hosedown events—set to help children and families cool-off in the summer heat, thanks to the help of the Hopkinsville Fire Department—will alternate between Joe Mumford Park and the Walnut Street Center each Tuesday throughout July.

Then, the Christmas in July Crafts and Vendor Fair is returning to the Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex in Hopkinsville on July 13 and Sanders says there will be over 80 vendors there that day starting at 9 a.m. and there will be plenty to shop.

She says it’s a great way to shop local and at the same time, get an early start on your Christmas shopping.
