The Pennyrile Area Community Band has awarded scholarships to three local musicians.
The three scholars, Imani Dunn, Timothy Hanley and Landon Coker, were each awarded a $500 scholarship to help further their musical education.
Dunn is studying music and playing flute at the University of Louisville, Hanley is playing trumpet and studying at Murray State University and Coker is studying at the University of Louisville while playing trombone.
The scholarships were made possible through the generosity of community members.
