The Pennyrile Area Community Band is gearing up for their annual Patriotic in the Pennyrile summer concert, which will take place Thursday at Casey Jones Distillery to celebrate the Fourth of July.
Speaking with WHOP recently, Band Director Lori Boehman says they’re eager to show off their musical chops while celebrating Independence Day with Casey Jones—the band meets weekly for practice, and now they’re ready to perform for the community.
The show gets underway at 7 p.m. on Thursday, and she says they’ll play a wide variety of patriotic songs that the audience can enjoy.
The Pennyrile Area Development Band is funded through community support and donations, and they’re always accepting of more musicians eager to play.
