Dancing with Our Stars returns to the Alhambra Theater in September and the participants have been announced and voting and donations are open to the public.
This is Hopkinsville’s fifth Dancing with Our Stars competition and it will feature eight pairs of community members ready to show off their dance moves to help raise funds for the Pennyroyal Arts Council and Sanctuary, Inc.
The pairs include Cat Lacy and Austin Jauregui, Brandon and Kiley Killebrew, Desma and Vulenzo Blount, Becky Dearman and Nancy Askew, Joe and Tierra Leavell, Mary Anne Garnett and Caleb Lancaster, Kate Russell and Joey Medeiros and Craig and Katie Richardson.
The Dancing with Our Stars competition and is sponsored by Hughart, Beard and Giles Funeral Home. Dance professionals from Brooke Bailey Dance Addiction and Gymnastics, Bluegrass Dancecats and Dance 270 will serve as coaches to the pairs.
The community can help teams raise money by voting for their favorite team and each dollar donated counts as a vote, the mirror ball champions will be determined based on both their dance scores and donation amounts.
Donations are live at pennyroyalarts.kindful.com and tickets go on sale on July 9 at pennyroyalarts.org. Dancing with Our Stars will take over the Alhambra Theater on September 7.
