A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to begin demolition and replacement of a bridge on KY 126 in Caldwell County next week.
Beginning on Monday, July 8, the KY 126 bridge over Burns Creek, located at the 1.65 mile point, will be closed to begin demolition. Message boards warning of the impending closure have already been placed on the roadway.
There is a marked detour in place using Blackhawk Road, KY 139 and KY 514. The closure is expected to be completed in October.
Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
