Former Elkton Mayor Nancy Camp has announced that she has cancer.
That’s according to a post on social media, where Camp states that she went to the hospital in December for bad pain, and doctors discovered an aggressive cancer that had spread—that cancer was classified as stage four. She has since been in treatment with Dr. Murray and staff at Jennie Start Health.
She urged Todd County and the City of Elkton to work together, saying she has always loved both tremendously, and both have grown so much in the last several years.
She encouraged all citizens to work together to move forward, saying she loves all and wishes everyone the very best.
Along with once being mayor of Elkton, Camp also worked at Elkton Bank and Trust Company and attended school in Todd County.
