Saturday brings truck and tractor pulls, wrestling to WKSF

The final weekend of the Western Kentucky State Fair gets underway Saturday afternoon with several farm shows and tractor pulls in the grandstands.

Gates open at 3 p.m. and rides are free from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m.—after that armbands will be $30 for unlimited rides. The petting zoo opens back up at 5 p.m. and Fair Board Chair Brad Hewell says the Mid-South Truck and Tractor Pulls return to the track at 7 p.m. so make sure you have your ear protection, as the competition gets underway.

Fan favorite Ultimate Championship Wrestling returns to the air-conditioned convention center starting at 7 p.m. with admission $2 per person. 

The 4-H/FFA Swine Show begins at 9 a.m. Saturday morning in the livestock pavilion and then the 4-H/FFA Beef Cattle Show starts at 6 p.m.

Everything wraps up Saturday night for the Western Kentucky State Fair for another year and so far, roughly 30,000 people have attended throughout the week, as of Friday morning.
