Robert Torian enters guilty plea to manslaughter in McHenry Street fatal shooting

Trial will not happen as scheduled for murder suspect Robert Torian—as he entered a guilty plea Monday morning in Christian Circuit Court.

Torian entered a guilty plea to the amended charge of second-degree manslaughter, which Circuit Judge Andrew Self clarified comes with a recommended seven years in prison.

Torian had originally been charged with murder in the 2019 fatal shooting death of Terrill Moore on McHenry Street and following two jury trials that ended in mistrial, pled guilty to his role in the incident.

Final sentencing was set for July 10, and comes after numerous delays caused by mistrials, the COVID-19 pandemic, changing representatives on both the defense and the Commonwealth. His third trial was set to begin this Monday.
