Police arrest four individuals for allegedly fleeing from wreck

Two Hopkinsville men and two minors were arrested by officers from the Hopkinsville Police Department after reportedly being involved in a motor vehicle accident and fleeing the scene on Thursday.

According to a report from police, officers responded to a two-vehicle collision on East 2nd Street at the railroad. The responding officers reported that they saw a group of males standing near the accident that went on to flee from the scene on foot.

The victim in the other vehicle was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for the treatment of their injuries. While officers were interviewing the victim, 18-year-old Keywon Robinson and a minor, arrested in connection to the wreck, were reportedly at the hospital to receive treatment for injuries they sustained in a wreck.

After investigating, officers found that Robinson and the minor were allegedly in other vehicle involved in the wreck and fled from the scene. Officers later located and arrested 18-year-old Jonathon Bell and another minor that were allegedly involved in the wreck and fled the scene.

The four individuals were charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police and leaving the scene of an accident and failing to render aid or assistance.
