HPD charge man with second-degree burglary

A Hopkinsville man is facing charges of burglary and terroristic threatening after he allegedly kicked in the door of a residence on North Elm Street Saturday.

According to the police report from the Hopkinsville Police Department, officers responded to reports of a burglary in progress on North Elm Street around 9:40 p.m. Saturday night. The victim told officers that 35-year-old Jeremy Tillman of Hopkinsville had broken into her residence by kicking the door.

He was reportedly caught on camera chasing the victim through the home, before fleeing the scene.  He allegedly continued to call her, threatening to kill her when he saw her again.

Tillman was located on North Drive and taken into custody. He was charged with second-degree burglary and third-degree terroristic threatening.
