Grand jury issues indictments for burglary, drug related crimes

A Christian County Grand Jury issued indictments for burglary, drug trafficking and assault related crimes on Friday.

Jeffery White, age 34 of Hopkinsville, was arrested for burglary after he reportedly unlawfully entered a residence in the 100 block of South Vine Street and stole items belonging to the occupant on March 11. White was indicted on charges of second-degree burglary, first-degree possession of a controlled substance and receiving stolen property valued between $500 and $1,000.

Jerome Wooten, age 33 of Clarksville, was arrested for burglary and assault in March after he reportedly unlawfully entered a home on Glass Avenue and physically harmed the occupant. Wooten was indicted on charges of first-degree burglary and fourth-degree assault.

Merrick Stubbs, age 49 of Hopkinsville, was arrested for burglary and unlawful imprisonment in March after he reportedly unlawfully entered a residence and imprisoned the occupant. Stubbs was indicted on charges of second-degree burglary, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, two counts of first-degree fleeing or evading police and disregarding a stop sign.

Matthew Glass, age 25 of Hopkinsville, was arrested for drug trafficking after he reportedly fled from law enforcement and was found it be in possession of suspected heroin, methamphetamine, adderall and marijuana on March 22. Glass was indicted on charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and second-degree fleeing or evading police.

Kameron Serrano, age 19 of Hopkinsville, was arrested for drug trafficking after law enforcement searched his residence and reportedly found a bag in his possession containing methamphetamine and marijuana on April 4. Serrano was indicted on charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, tampering with physical evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Zycharius Harris, age 21 of Hopkinsville, was arrested for assault after he reportedly stabbed a victim 6-to-8 times on March 18. Harris was indicted on charges of first-degree assault and tampering with physical evidence.

Brandton Tenney, age 34 of Hopkinsville, was arrested on May 14 on strength of a complaint warrant for charges of first-degree sexual abuse for incidents that reportedly occurred in February and April. Tenney was indicted on two counts of first-degree sexual abuse.

Kevin Stokes, age 30 of Oak Grove, was arrested in May after he reportedly fled from law enforcement. Stokes was indicted on two counts of first-degree fleeing or evading police, operating a vehicle on a suspended license, operating a vehicle with an expired registration, failure to produce an insurance card and failure to notify the department of transportation regarding an address change.
