Hopkinsville Rotary Auction wraps up with record-breaking numbers

It’s officially a wrap, as the 74th Hopkinsville Rotary Radio Auction came to a close late Saturday night breaking records by raising $560,074.48.

That surpasses last year’s total by $36,402—Saturday night’s auction saw 221 items sold, putting the total of items sold this year at 776. The diner and sweet shops raised a total of $37,800 by itself and the Hour and Goat Clubs brought in $414,928 of the overall total.

Auction Chair Kelly Gates closed out the wildly successful auction with tremendous thank you to the community and handed the reigns to incoming 75th Auction Chair Landon Stallons.

All money raised by the Hopkinsville Rotary Auction—which is routinely the most successful Rotary Auction in the world—goes to benefit the Rotary Scholars program, providing local students the ability to attend Hopkinsville Community College for two years at no cost. It also benefits the many programs and grants that Rotary provides to local organizations pertaining to the community’s youth.
