After conducting an investigation, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office found that the narrative behind the shooting incident that occurred on Tuesday at a residence on Lake Morris Road was reportedly false.
On Tuesday, deputies responded to a residence on the 1200 block of Lake Morris Road after receiving reports of gunfire. The victim reportedly told deputies that they heard noises in their house and armed themselves to go investigate. As they were investigating, an unknown assailant reportedly shot at them and they returned fire before the suspect fled from the scene.
Investigators reportedly found that shots were fired in the home, but the narrative the victim shared that led to those shots being fired was false and they determined that there was no home invasion that took place.
