Fire damaged the building at Truck Country Auto Sales on Walnut Street Wednesday night.
Lt. Payton Rogers says Hopkinsville firefighters were called to the business just before 8:30 p.m. and contacted a third station to respond when they found a working fire.
They were able to quickly bring the fire under control, but due to the layout of the building, it was a challenge to get all of the smoke out of the structure.
The building sustained moderate fire damage and heavy smoke damage, according to Rogers, who says it appears the blaze began somewhere in the center of the building and the cause remains under investigation.
No one was injured in the incident.
