Hopkinsville man flown to Skyline after Saturday morning accident

A medical emergency led to a single-vehicle accident Saturday morning in Christian County that sent a Hopkinsville man to a Nashville hospital.

Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy Mark Nichols says 34-year-old Chester Coleman of Hopkinsville was merging from the Pennyrile Parkway onto I-24 East when he had a medical emergency while traveling on the ramp.

His pickup went off the ramp, struck a light pole and traveled down an embankment before coming to rest on its side.

Coleman was flown by Air Evac to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for non-life-threatening injuries, including injuries to his head.
