Arrest made in Guthrie car wash burglary

One suspect has been served with a warrant for a burglary last week at the Guthrie car wash and charges are pending against a second man.

Guthrie Police have charged 31-year old Joshua Craig of Oak Grove with felony theft and possession of burglary tools. He allegedly drove the car to the car wash, pretended to wash it and helped unload the tools for a second suspect who climbed through the ceiling tiles and entered the office.

That perpetrator used a grinding tool to get inside a money machine and the pair got away with nearly $4,000 in quarters.

Craig was arrested Monday by the Christian County Sheriff’s Department and transferred later in the day to the Todd County Jail.

Police say the second suspect is in custody for other crimes and charges for the car wash burglary are pending.
