Clarksville Police have determined the man who robbed the US Bank on Fort Campbell Boulevard in that city Monday afternoon was at a Hopkinsville bank an hour earlier and likely had intentions to commit robbery at that location.

Video surveillance showed the black male with dreadlocks wearing an orange shirt at a US Bank in Hopkinsville and Clarksville Police say a note was found with similar wording to the one he later used in Clarksville. It’s not known why he didn’t go through with the robbery in Hopkinsville.

As previously reported, the suspect went into Clarksville branch just before 2 p.m. and handed the clerk a note demanding money. He got into a black SUV with tinted windows and headed north on Fort Campbell Boulevard.

Anyone with information on the suspect should call Clarksville Crime Stoppers at 931-645-TIPS.
