Hoppers routed by Madisonville 12-2

The Hoptown Hoppers suffered their second loss of the Ohio Valley League season at Madisonville last night 12-2.
The Miners took a 4-0 lead after four innings with the Hoppers getting their two runs in the top of the fifth. Madisonville would then add three in the bottom of that frame with two more runs in the seventh and three in the 8th inning.

Ryan Traylor had three hits, including two doubles in a losing effort with Joe DeFina and Blake Jackson each adding two hits. Ethan Clark, in making the pitching start for the Hoppers, was the losing hurler.

In the other Make Up Monday game in the OVL, Fulton got a 7-6 walk off win over Paducah with RJ Green singling in the winning run for the Railroaders in the bottom of the ninth.

Tonight in the OVL: The Hoptown Hoppers are scheduled to host the Dubois County Bombers at Christian County’s Colonel Field at 7:05, with pregame coverage at 6:45 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP and online at whopam.com.
Other games have Madisonville entertaining Owensboro, Muhlenberg County welcomes Fulton and Paducah travels to Henderson.
