Parker wins circuit court clerk election

Paige Eli Parker will be Christian County’s next circuit court clerk after defeating Trent Haddock in a rout Tuesday.

Parker got 3,972 votes to Haddock’s 2,236 and she has no Republican opposition in November.

Most, if not all, of the deputy clerks supported Haddock as he tried to replace his retiring father—Gary Haddock—who replaced his father Jack Haddock when he retired in 1993 after 20 years of service.

Parker says she looks forward to working with those deputy clerks when she takes over in January.

Haddock says he’s obviously disappointed by the loss and vows to continue serving his community in any way possible.

Parker comes to the job with 22 years of experience in the justice system.
