Lyon County Judge-Executive Wade White is calling for bow fishermen to volunteer during nighttime hours as the search continues for a Fort Campbell soldier who went into Kentucky Lake while tubing Friday and never came back up.

Judge White says if the soldier is not found during the day today, they are seeking volunteer bow fishermen who own boats that are equipped with lights to continue a nighttime search. The effort will transition to more of a water surface search in the next couple days, according to White.

Anyone who is willing to participate is asked to put in their boat at Moss Creek in LBL on the Kentucky Lake side.

Volunteers will need to be at Moss Creek at 8 pm this evening for a briefing. In order to participate, you must attend the briefing and be given the area map with instructions.

Anyone with questions can call Judge White at 270-625-2744.

The soldier in his late teens was tubing behind a pontoon boat Friday when he went under and officials say he was not wearing a life jacket.
