A Hopkinsville man is facing new charges after police served him with a warrant Sunday afternoon at a Rose Drive home.
Officers served 23-year old Dontavius Halfacre of Hopkinsville with a warrant for failing to appear in court. An arrest citation says he arrived at the home as a passenger in a vehicle and that he struggled with officers after being told to stop resisting.
Staff at the Christian County Jail reported finding marijuana in his pocket, according to the report.
In addition to the warrant, Halfacre was charged with resisting arrest and promoting contraband.
