A local man sought on multiple warrants was arrested Tuesday afternoon following a foot pursuit.
Officer Tyler Hancock located 42-year old Earl Ray Cook of Hopkinsville traveling west on West First Street with the wrong license plate on his car. An arrest citation says Cook turned into a driveway and fled the car on foot before a traffic stop could be initiated.
Cook fell over a fence as he ran through a back yard and continued to struggle with officers.
He was served with warrants for probation violation and failure to appear in court and is facing new counts of fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, driving with a suspended license, and driving without registration or insurance.
