Local church to host ‘Night to Shine’ special needs prom

A local church will combine forces with the Tim Tebow Foundation next month to host A Night to Shine—a prom type evening for area special needs teens.

Thousands of “Night to Shine” events will be the same night around the world and Paula Halcomb with Hillcrest Baptist Church says they are excited to bring Tebow’s extremely popular program to Hopkinsville.

The local event will be Friday, February 8th from 6 until 9 at the Silo Event Center on John Rives Road.

A Night to Shine is free for special needs individuals ages 14 and up and Halcomb says it’s open to residents of Christian, Todd and Trigg counties.

Organizers hope to have 200 guests and currently have about 50 registered. One must be signed up to attend and online registration is available at hillcrestbc.net.
