Two injured in rear-end collision

A rear-end collision Monday morning on Lafayette Road injured both drivers.

It happened a few minutes after 10 a.m., with the report from Hopkinsville Police saying 66-year old Charlie Mayes of Hopkinsville was stopped with traffic near Leland Circle when she was rear-ended by a vehicle operated by 72-year old Larry Rogers of Hopkinsville.

The collision pushed Mayes’ car into a ditch and both vehicles sustained severe damage.

Mayes and Rogers were both taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.
