An Elkton woman and a Russellville man were arrested following an investigation Thursday morning in Logan County.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Department went to a 559 Paul Hines Road residence to locate an individual wanted on a district court warrant and made contact with 37-year old Jason Wayne Ashby of Russellville coming out of a bathroom.
A news release says a small glass jar containing methamphetamine and half of a pill fell from his waist and a search of his person allegedly revealed additional prescription substances that he admitted he didn’t have a prescription for.
Ashby was arrested and charged with possession of meth, possession of a controlled substance, prescription pills not in the proper container and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Deputies also located 46-year old Laura Lea Crockett of Elkton at the home and served her with the warrant. The Logan County Jail website says she’s charged with theft and public intoxication.
