Elkton man served with Ariz. indictment for drugs, money laundering

An Elkton man has been served with a grand jury indictment warrant out of Arizona for felony drug and money laundering charges.

Todd County Sheriff’s Deputy Kevin Saunders served the warrant Thursday against 56-year old Douglas Stokes of Elkton.

Sheriff Tracy White was notified of the warrant earlier this week and the charges stem from alleged incidents in that led to an indictment last month for two counts of transportation of dangerous drugs and for one count of second-degree money laundering.

Stokes was lodged in the Todd County Jail on a $250,000 bond and is awaiting extradition to Arizona.
