Princeton’s Emma Talley had an opening round two under par 70 in the LPGA Tour’s Indy Women in Tech Championship in Indianapolis yesterday. She trails leader Lizette Salas by eight shots going into today’s second round. Salas had a 10 under 62 Thursday.

On the PGA Tour, Nashville’s Brandt Snedeker shot an 11-under 59 at the Wyndham Championship, falling one shot shy of matching the record. He made a 20-foot putt on his final hole, becoming the 10th player in PGA Tour to break 60. Snedeker has a four shot lead over Ryan Moore and John Oda who are at seven under par.

Franklin’s Kenny Perry and Union’s Steve Flesch are in the field for the PGA Tour Champions Dick’s Sporting Goods Classic starting today in Endicott, NY.
