People continue to file to run for election in Christian County, including several people running for mayor and city commissioner of local cities.
Independent candidate Wally Bryan filed his paperwork to run for mayor of Hopkinsville, and he will face incumbent Carter Hendricks, Democrat Jason McCraw and independent Walter Shamble. Judy Peterson filed for reelection as mayor of Pembroke. Incumbent David Rule has filed to run for Pembroke City Commissioner.
In Lafayette, both Sandra Torres and Julie Dietrich have filed to run for city commissioner. James McKnight is seeking a position on Oak Grove City Council.
For Christian County School Board, incumbents Lindsey Clark in District 3 and Tom Bell in District 5 have filed to run for reelection to those seats.
