Elkton man arrested for meth possession, DUI

A traffic stop for a seat belt violation in Todd County Friday led to the arrest of the driver on methamphetamine charges.

Kentucky State Police stopped 41-year old Charles Hightower of Elkton for the seat belt violation and a trooper determined him to be under the influence, according to a news release.

A search of the vehicle allegedly revealed meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Hightower was arrested and charged with DUI and meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession.
