Local students receive KFB scholarships

Four high school seniors from Christian County have received scholarships from Kentucky Farm Bureau.

Chloe Holloway, James King, Makenzie Shaw, and Victoria Sims are each the recipient of a $2,000 college scholarship from Christian County Farm Bureau.

Holloway plans to attend Hopkinsville Community College to pursue a degree in community and leadership development, King plans to attend the University of Kentucky to pursue a degree in agriculture business, Shaw will attend Campbellsville University to pursue a degree in a health profession and Sims is heading to the University of Louisville.

Farm Bureau scholarships are awarded to recipients who display the greatest levels of academic excellence, involvement in extracurricular activities, leadership abilities and financial need—according to a news release.
