Vijay Singh birdied the second playoff hole to defeat Jeff Maggert at the Constellation Senior Players Championship Sunday. Both finished regulation at 20 under 268. Franklin’s Kenny Perry finished tied for sixth at 16 under 272 while Paducah’s Russ Cochran was 70th at three over 291.

Michael Kim shot a final-round 66 Sunday to win the PGA Tour’s John Deere Classic by a record-setting eight strokes and pick up his first PGA Tour victory. Kim, who turned 25 on Saturday, finished at 27-under 257 – breaking Steve Stricker’s tournament record from 2010 by one shot. He also qualified for this week’s British Open at Carnoustie.

The Tour moves to the Bluegrass this week for those not playing in the Open as the Barbasol Championship takes place at Keene Trace Champions in Nicholasville. Four spots for this week’s event will be determined during a qualifier today.
