Woman arrested for meth possession

An investigation Thursday night on Phelps Avenue led to the arrest of a woman on methamphetamine charges.

An arrest citation from Hopkinsville Police Officer Michael Felts says 40-year old Shannon Davenport of Hopkinsville was a passenger in a car parked illegally on Phelps. A HPD K9 alerted on the vehicle and a search of Davenport’s purse allegedly revealed a glass pipe, three dirty needles and residue in the pipe that tested positive for meth.

Davenport was arrested and charged with possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.
