New motion filed in Pitino lawsuit

The Courier Journal reported Wednesday attorneys representing former Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino in a lawsuit against the University of Louisville Athletic Association are arguing there are “no facts” to support evidence cited by the university to fire Pitino last October for just cause.
Attorney Steve Pence wrote in Wednesday’s motion negative media attention U of L received was not Pitino’s fault because he was not directly implicated in the FBI play for pay investigation or the escort scandal. Pitino sued the ULAA last November for breach of contract.
