MLB Roundup-Reds win 7th straight

Joey Votto doubled in the go-ahead run during a seven-run seventh inning as the Cincinnati Reds rallied past the Chicago Cubs 8-6. Cincinnati swept the four game series and have now won seven straight games. The Reds open a series tonight at the Atlanta Braves with pregame at 6:05 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP. Meanwhile, the Cubs begin a West Coast swing this evening at the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Elsewhere in the National League: Jose Martinez hit a three-run homer to lead the St. Louis Cardinals to an 8-2 win over the Milwaukee Brewers. The Cardinals return home to begin a three game Interleague series with the Cleveland Indians this evening.

Interleague: Freddie Freeman singled in two runs and Dansby Swanson hit a two-run homer as the Atlanta Braves beat the Baltimore Orioles 7-3 at SunTrust Park. Charlie Culberson had a two-run double as Atlanta salvaged the finale of the three-game series.
