The 2018 Western Kentucky State Fair kicks off Friday with a big concert in the grandstand.
Gates open at 5 p.m. and rides at 6 with a $15 arm band night.
James Darrin Hunt says the much-anticipated Colt Ford concert gets underway at 7 o’clock in the grandstand.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets, because the concert has been moved to the pit area of the grandstands where there is grass. This is due to rainy weather, which has made the track too muddy for the stage. Tickets can be purchased at westernkystatefair.org for $15 each.
The petting farm in the livestock pavilion will open with the fair at 5 p.m.
