A pickup reported stolen out of Muhlenberg County was wrecked on Greenville Road Thursday morning and a man who allegedly fled the scene was later arrested.

Christian County Sheriff’s Sgt. Adam Vanderkolk arrived on scene to find the truck turned onto its side and the driver was gone. A computer check showed the truck was stolen in Greenville and witnesses said the driver had caught a ride in a blue Ford Mustang back toward Hopkinsville.

Hopkinsville Police located the car and a passenger—36-year old Brian Jagoe of Hopkinsville—was identified as the driver of the truck.

Jagoe was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property, leaving the scene of an accident, DUI, driving without a license and various traffic offenses.

The driver of the Mustang was cooperative with police and was not charged.
