Retired Todd County Central High School agriculture teacher and Future Farmers of America leader Arthur Green was recently presented with the 2018 Ag. Teachers Change Lives Award at the 89th Kentucky FFA Convention.

Green retired in 2006 after 33 years at Todd Central and says the largest honor of the award is that former students feel he has had an impact on their lives.

He says he’s seen many of those students go on to successful lives and careers that cover the spectrum of society.

Green believes FFA is still important to schools and young people, as it gives them leadership skills to achieve in whatever endeavors they pursue.

He has served several terms as Kentucky FFA Alumni president and served as Todd County judge-executive for four years following his retirement from Todd Central.
