Due to weather, play was suspended in the second round of the US Women’s Open at Shoal Creek outside of Birmingham. Princeton’s Emma Talley had played only six holes when weather halted play. Second round play will continue this morning.

On the PGA Tour: Joaquin Niemann, a 19-year-old from Chile making just his fifth
start as a pro, shares the lead at the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village with Kyle Stanley after a 4-under 68. Both are at 11 under 133. Campbellsville native JB Holmes is tied for fourth place at eight under 136, Louisville area native Justin Thomas is tied for 44th at three under 141 and three time champion Kenny Perry did not make the cut.
