Library summer reading program kicks off Saturday

The Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library summer reading program is kicking off Saturday with a party at their location on Bethel Street.

Library Executive Director Deanna Sova appeared on WHOP recently and says Saturday will be full of fun for the family and fellowship, and people can sign up to participate in the summer reading program there.

She says the program is not only for kids and she encourages adults to sign up as well and the more you read the bigger chance you have to win a prize.

The party starts at 12 p.m. and goes until 2 p.m. The initiative last through July 14 and people can also sign up online at hccpl.org. Sova says the library will also be hosting a summer feeding program in partnership with the Christian County Public School System and for more information on how participate in that, call 270-887-7000.
