There was another homicide near Providence Boulevard in Clarksville Wednesday morning and a person of interest who may also be involved in the shooting death of a man Saturday night behind Bob’s Discount Tobacco was taken into custody in Oak Grove.

Clarksville Police say the most recent incident happened about 12:40 a.m. when officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Providence Boulevard and were flagged down by a man in the 200 block of Mitchell Street.

The man said a passenger in a vehicle had been shot and police found the female victim in her 30’s with gunshot wounds. She was taken to Tennova Health Hospital and died from her injuries.

It happened only about three days after 19-year old Julian Torres was shot to death in the 500 block of Providence Boulevard.

The person of interest in both incidents has been identified as 27-year old Timothy Ogburn and he was located and taken into custody at the Quality Inn in Oak Grove about 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Clarksville Police say the investigation is ongoing.
