Multiple high schoolers have accepted scholarships to continue their music education at Murray State University.
According to a news release, Christian County High School seniors Wyatt Combs and DaMonte’ Bradford signed their paperwork to pursue music degrees. Combs plays the tuba and Bradford boasts of soprano. Both Combs and Bradford were selected 2018 All-State Musicians by the Kentucky Music Educators’ Association.
Meanwhile, Hopkinsville High School seniors Katherine Joiner and Haley Chappell accepted scholarships to Murray State and signed their paperwork Sunday at the HHS gymnasium. Both Joiner, who plays trombone, and Chappell, who plays trumpet, were multiyear All-State Musicians in the Kentucky Music Educators’ Association All-Band.
