UPDATED: Arrest made in North Vine shooting

An arrest has been made in connection to a shooting Thursday morning on North Vine Street.

Officers were called to 109 North Vine about 10:25 a.m. and found 58-year old Barry Burchett of Hopkinsville outside of the home with a gunshot wound to the head, according to the report. He was flown by Air Evac to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville and police say he is in stable condition.

Investigation led to HPD arresting 18-year old Khalil Thacker of Hopkinsville for first-degree assault, tampering with evidence and he was served with a warrant for tampering with a prisoner monitoring device as police say he cut his ankle monitor off shortly after the shooting.
