UHA graduates class of 2018

Twenty-three University Heights Academy students walked into the gymnasium and walked out as graduates following commencement Wednesday evening.

In her last graduation before she retires, Headmaster Pam Nunn praised the class for being hardworking, unique, motivated and funny. Salutatorian Tyler Pratt told his fellow graduates to confront things with enthusiasm, and says he will always cherish his time at UHA.

Valedictorian Hemanji Patel says her class is like a family that will always stay connected, and her advice is to learn from mistakes and be willing to take risks.

Patel and Pratt were the recipients of the Shelia Higgins NHS Scholarships with Pratt also received the Kiwanis Citizenship Award. The Head of School Award went to Alexis Cundiff, who also took home a Best All Around Award.

The other Best All Around Award was taken by Michael Hodges. The D.A.R. Citizenship Award was won by Lydia Humphries.
