The Christian County Public School System says counselors will be on hand at the high schools as students cope with the loss of classmates.
Jacory Burse attended Christian County High School and Darius Majors attended Hopkinsville High.
Public information Officer John Rittenhouse released a statement Sunday afternoon saying, “Our hearts are broken and our thoughts and prayers remain with their friends and families. We have reached out to their families to let them know we are here for them and CCPS will have grief counselors onsite tomorrow at Christian County and Hopkinsville High Schools so the students’ friends may grieve this tragedy together.”
Darrius Burse and Kaylee Lane continue to recover from their injuries and the school system says their thoughts and prayers remain with them as they recover.
