The rough times continue for the Cincinnati Reds following a 9-2 loss to the Cardinals in St. Louis. Luis Castillo tossed five innings of three-run ball to take the loss for the lowly Reds. Jesse Winker and Joey Votto plated runs in defeat. The Reds have lost 13 of its past 14 games and will host the Atlanta Braves this evening.

The Atlanta Braves and New York Mets had the finale of their four-game series at SunTrust Park rained out Sunday afternoon. It will be made up as part of a day-night doubleheader on May 28th. Sunday’s postponement was the 26th in MLB this season, the most in April since they started keeping track in 1986.

The Chicago Cubs jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead and held on to edge the Colorado Rockies 9-7 in Denver. Javy Baez homered and drove in three runs to lead the charge for Chicago. Jose Quintana pitched into the sixth inning and gave up four runs but earned the win.

Brandon Morrow locked down his fourth save as the Cubs took two-of-three in the set. The Cubs are off today before opening an interleague series in Cleveland tomorrow.
