WHOP Rotary Radio Auction halfway to finish line

With three nights remaining in the 68th WHOP Rotary Radio Auction, there’s still time to help reach the $320,000 goal.

Through three nights, the auction has raised $128,881, which is $1,184 less than the at the same point last year. A total of 305 items have sold in the auction for about $29,000, the diner and sweet shop is ahead of last year’s pace at about $5,400 and Hour and Goat Club donations total almost $96,000.

Elementary schools reported on their fundraising efforts last night, bringing in about $15,600. Middle and high schools will report tonight.

Auction Chair Kiley Killebrew reminds that all money raised this week helps local high school graduates through the Rotary Scholars and student loans programs.

The auction resumes tonight at 7 o’clock on Lite Rock 98.7 and online at lite987whop.com. You can also watch on Charter Spectrum Channel 12 and on the Hopkinsville Rotary Club website.

Lunch is served in the diner from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. and dinner from 5 until 8 p.m. at the War Memorial Building.
